I heard a bit about this on Thursday.  It's dissapointing.  I really wanted to use a convertable car seat and an infant sling this time around vs an infant carrier.  I suppose maybe I'll go with a Baby Bjorn or something.  I have a Moby Wrap but hate it...

 I love my ERGO baby sling and so do my children. I still put them in it on hikes and it really saves my back.

I used a sling with all 4 of my kids and LOVED it!  I hated the front carriers because I felt like they'd fall out if I bent over.  Plus they are so versatile and like Rebekah said, even as they get a little older the can sit in them on your hip.

I tried the sling with my second and it didn't work out as well for us as the good front carrier we had with our first.

Sounds like it's not a warning for all slings but caution in the type of sling compared to the baby size. Did I read that wrong?
