I don't agree, but whatever! I think it's silly and with all of the other problems schools seem to have of late, worrying about the flavor of milk just seems ridiculous. They already pulled soda and candy out of the schools and at least they are getting good things out of milk regardless of whether it's chocolate or not. I just think the time and money could be better spent on other issues in the school! But I will just give the kids chocolate milk at home!

No, My kids love chocolate milk and wouldn't drink milk without it. I just can't belive that this is what the schools are spending time and money on when there are much more important things then milk. I'm glad they got soda and candy out of the schools but they should figure out how to not have 25 kids in one class room. Or make sure the kids can read. I have a HS friend who told me last week she didn't know how to read until she went to college. I was shocked we went to the same schools the whole time growing up. I guess thinking back my mom and dad helped us learn to read not the school. We had some really bad teachers. WOW, I'm thinking about how awful some of them were. Nice people but bad teachers.
Finally made it to the 2000's!!!!

NO!!
Keep the chocolate milk. So what if there is a few extra calories? Besides right now the benefits of chocolate milk are all over the media. Recovery drink from excersise, apparently almost as good for you as wine, because of the coaco. That and a lot of kids will only drink chocolate, and with everyone all fussed up about vit. D.
Bad move by the schools if they do this.
(that and what on earth would you drink on chili day with your cinnamon roll and carrot sticks?)

I am so against the schools taking out chocolate milk, OK there are fat kids, but guess what? I bet they go home and eat chips, soda and candy while they play vids! If schools are so worried about obesity why not ADD SOME PE CLASSES! Make them fun, bring back things like Dance, shop, and home ec! I remember in Home Ec not only did we learn to "sew" and cook, but nutrition as well. It's all modertion! I doubt seriously that my kids could even choke down what they call school lunch without a carton of chocolate milk, now what? because someone got a bee in their bonnet we have to serve them 2% or skim? I throw the BS flag

Oh yeah, the PE thing, my middle schooler will get a trimester this year, yes 1/3 of her school year in gym! When I was in middle school it was a required class for the full year in all grades. Our girl in elementary school has pe maybe twice a week, if that! No wonder our kids aren't as active and overweight. I just think that's crazy! And don't get me wrong, I hated gym, was not athletic and everytime we played soccer I inevitibly(sp) got hit in the face with the ball, but when did it become an elective? Ugh!

Yep. Whatever happened to kids playing "Green Ghost" or Kick the can? Now it's Halo. There is a REASON kids are fat, and it's NOT chocolate milk in school
